Bit the Valor bullet today

I've been struggling mightily trying to decide between a black Valor and a Baer UTC. I finally decided today that the Valor makes the most sense because I want this thing to run right out of the box with no excuses. I have zero patience for 1911s that don't run right.

I was even considering saving the bucks and going with the stainless finish on the Valor--especially because I'm thinking about rounding off the MSH one day--but I got a real nice deal on the black one and now I'll see what all the Duty Treat commotion is about.

Should have it in my impatient hands by the end of next week. And I will immediately shoot the everloving crap out of it.

Yep--good old .45ACP. This is all your fault, Jess. You've got my only 5" .45ACP gun on your bench, and I feel nekkid without one.

(Your observations on the Baers also swayed me.)
