Hi power age?

So I looked at the date chart and can't find a slot this serial number would fit in...Made in Belgium 69c16623. Ideas?

YUP.....the key is '..69C..xxxxx..'.

Browning switched over from its '..T..xxxxxx' series sequential serial numbering scheme to the year-of-manufacture '..69 C..' series in late-1969--thru--1975-76 (though 'T' series serial numbering also continued simultaneously for a few more years....don't ask...it's a puzzlement...even the gods-of-confusion). The two(2) numbers preceding the '..C..' in this numbering scheme represented the year-of-manufacture

So....your pistol was manufactured in 1969...and commonly termed a '..C..' series Hi Power.

I am a day late and a dollar short. 1969 for the nice "C" series.

KDKSAIL nailed it. The "C" series has a great reputation for the BHP.
