IWB prototypes that did not make the cut

Cleaning out my work area the other day I decided to take a few pictures of stuff I had hanging on my drying rack before filing them to the "For Future Reference" box.

These protos' were all built during development of the Criterion and like the Criterion feature a 25 degree cant, steel reinforced mouth bands and are made to sit as deep as possible IWB while still allowing for a full firing grip.

Some are based on new ideas and some are based off old designs such as our "Idaho Quick Mount", VM-2 and Nexus. All were rejected for one reason or another in favor of the current model Criterion.

Criterion prototype featuring combination adjustable welt and rear belt loop mount.

Backside of prototype metal reinforced Nexus.

Very cool.
Liking a Glock is a Version of Stockholm Syndrome. Nobody likes it but they get used to it in time.

That is really cool. As an engineer, I would love to get an understanding of your design and evaluation process. How do you test and move forward? How much of "Can we build this day in and day out?" comes into play versus "How well does this work for the job of safely carrying and concealing a handgun for a wide variety of body types?"
