Wilson TE back from John Harrison at Precision Gunworks

Got my Wilson Tactical elite back from John harrison today and man did it come out nice. I had him serrate the rear of the slide and change ot the stock wilson nite sights for some Heinie straight 8 nite sites. He also serrated the top of the slide ina arrow pattern and checkered the front of the trigger guard. He also fitter a new oversized firing pin stop and blended the grip safety a little more. The whole thing then got a fresh new Black T finish from Walter Birdsongs shop and then a few finishing touches by John like polishing chamber/barrel. I could not be happier. The pistol is absolutely spectacular. Thanks John, I cant wait for the next one.

Here are a few pics. Enjoy. Nelson

My Wilson CQB. Had the trigger stripped bare, mag-well installed and blended, re-finished all black (matches my uniform better then the green frame), and installed a tungsten guide rod and tungsten plug. Notice the cool holster wear from almost two years of service!

Let us know how that Tungsten guide rod works after serveral rounds, as I'm interested in purchasing one myself.

I've read in other forums that they are brittle and prone to breaking but that was only one post I read so it may not be the norm.

And it was a different manufacturer which can make a big difference.

My lovely wife bought me a CQB w/ some custom marking/engraving work for our 25th wedding anniversary last month.

On edit 10/31, fixed the image size via a different PC.

My wife worked out the details of the engraving w/ John LaHue at WC. I'm thrilled beyond belief. I shoot it way better than I should be able to shoot anything w/ my 50 year old eyes. A couple of folks at the range we shoot at were in on the deal as they were the FFL/dealership involved.

Forty five thumbs up to John & the craftsmen at Wilson Combat, plus Debbie and Jerome at Bullet Trap for helping my wife with the purchase.
