Aussie BHP

Gday,
this is first of all an apology for the quality of the piccies.

In 2002-2003, there was major change in firearm laws in Australia, which involved a "Buyback". They paid very good money and I used it as an "old" for "new" sale....Enough said.

Anyway, I "traded in my last remaining BHP competition model, as well as a couple of alternate top ends I had.

One had a Bomar rear target Sight, and extended, serrated front sight on the barrel weight/front sight block. Shot very well.

One had Novak low mount rear and a dovetailed front sight with an almost "partridge" set up. This would feed anything.

Gone, gone, gone......

Enjoy the piccies...

My FN/FM Hi Power..Buenos Aires police issue

New here! Just found this place via a Google search, and my god what a treat too see all of these beautiful hi powers and their proud owners..

I have some questions here on this FN hi power I picked this up at a local gun shop/Hardware store for 250.00 last year.

I had no idea what it was..Either did they I suspect I got a deal.I just pulled it out a few weeks back and had a blast at the range with it.
What is it guys anyone know as it has some wild markings...External Extractor?
The barrel has the same markings as the trigger area has..Theres a fish image on the barrel markings as well ?WTH?
Its stamped Div Interna Sec.

Wonder what its really worth as I feel I got one hell of a deal..It shoots like a dream and has become one of my favorite handguns to date! Its an FM refirb box says its Belgium made??Paper works states it at least 35 years old.
I have the original grips those are new one I just bought this week to dress it up a bit.I just cleaned and oiled it what an easy gun to field strip..I like this hi power more than my kimber,lol..Serious..
This pistol is one of my fav's to date!! I can see why there is such a following.

Shes an oldie with super low serial number as well did I strike gold,or lay a turd??

Whats it worth????????????????

My Baby

Hi! I got this gun couple months ago, and it was in original shape but i wanted it to be a little bit special so i got a c&s combat hammer and c&s combat stile trigger. I allso do the stippling on front and back side of handgrip. I found some wooden grips but i wanted a ruber one from uncle mikes.I was looking for them but i heard that they don't manufacture them any more.
What do you think about it and what do you think how much does it worth now?

FN Hi-Power

This is mine. After much searching, I finally found one with the rollmark showing it being imported through Columbia, SC (my hometown).

I got some nice cocobolo grips from Mrs. SCGunner recently, so I'll have to come back with some new pictures with the upgrade.

This is my only HP and I am very happy with it. It's the only 9mm I own and sees action only at the range, for now. It also sports new grips from Altamont.

Nazi proofed, meets Argentine 4"

Nazi proofed at top, 70's era in the middle, and a Tussey Custom Argentine on the bottom. The Argentine is a 4" model with Novak's, the SFS System, new wider trigger, and a KKM Barrel. Shoots like a dream!!

I'll play. Although, after sifting through this thread, I feel I need to buy many more High Powers.

Browning High Power ('76)
FM M 90 Argentine
Browning Mk III Silverchrome

I keep getting more pistols with improved features. The M 90 has better sights than the '76 Browning. And the Silverchrome has nite sights and ambi safety. I suppose some day I'll find the prefect HP.
