Carry Comp Help

I'm toying with the idea of ordering a WC with a compensated barrel.
I'm open to all suggestions.

Which models and caliber do you like best? And, what functional and aesthetic enhancements are mandatory on your spec sheet if you were to order?

I'm thinking of an XTac Elite Carry Comp versus the Carry Comp Pro but your ideas help me evaluate.

Any size is possible...any caliber is possible.

Hay DrP good thread! I was just going to start the same. I am looking at the two you mentioned. I will go 9mm for sure which is less strain on the old body parts. I am leaning toward X-Tac Elite Carry Comp. Maybe the Professional. I like a full size frame. Sure would like to hold both in my hands but don't think that will happen.

Lot of experience here with the carry comps. There are several "Comp" specialist that will chime in soon. I'm new to carry comps but have the X-Tac Elite Carry Comp in 9mm being built right now. I had the same questions and decided to go with the X-Tac. I have the EDC X9 already and love the X-Tac pattern. Works really well from me and I like the grip. I guess it depends on the features that important to you. The X-Tac comes loaded with extra features as standard. Magazine well, countersunk slide stop, Slide Top Serrations and Serrated Rear of Slide, Concealment Beavertail Grip Safety and Hammer vs. High-Ride Beavertail Grip Safety, Fluted Chamber etc.
