My 3rd Winchester Birth-Year Gun...

...Is in the bag. Well, actually on its way to my FFL in Maine.

If you were following the GB auction for that nice Winnie Model 1912 that sold last night, t'was I that snagged it. It looks to be a pretty clean gun from the pics, but we'll see for sure come May/June when I get back to the good ole US of A.

If I get home in May then the below as well as a sported 03 Spgf, my AKs and Mosins, will get to offer their Memorial salutes as well. All having been in production if not in service during one or more US involved conflicts.

I now have three Winchesters built in 1957, my year of mfg.

- Model 70 - 30-06
- Model 1894 - 30-30
- Model 1912 - 12 ga, 28" Full Chk

I'm on the hunt for a Model 77 (22LR)
And of course I gotta have a 1957 Colt Govt to really make for a splendid birthday bash on my backyard range.

Hope all had a safe and fun (yes both are possible) Holidays and best wishes for a prosperous 2020

PEW, PEW, PEW!!

Nice. I love Model 12's. I've got 3 12's and a 20. Those and A5's are my weakness.......

Congrats!!

Nice. I was also born in 1957, and have two guns made that year, but they are not the same brand. One is a Marlin Mountie .22 lever, and the other is a Remington 552 Speedmaster. The 552 was also made the same month in 1957 I was born.

Thanks fellas!

Now I have to fight my addiction. There's a 57 Model 77 on GB and they offer layaway.

I had a 77 last year, but ended up selling it. It was so-so accurate and had a heavy trigger. But a cool looking gun, a bit like a rimfire version of the Model 100 semi-auto.
Mine was the more desirable tube magazine model, and had some nice Tiger stripe in the Walnut.
Had it been a 1957 model I might have kept it, just because.
