As in prior years, I'm not a very likely attendee, but I still wish to add a huge "Thank You" to GP for organizing this fabulous get-together.

If things line-up so that I could attend, I'll put in a last minute inquiry as to the possibility of joining a really fine group of friends.

In any event, thank you so much GP for organizing this gathering, and I'll be rooting for perfect weather for everyone who can participate.

You, my friend, will be welcome even at the last minute if you get an opportunity to attend - just text me to let me know you're coming at short notice time. I will PM you my cell number if you want it so you can text me.

Itinerary Details

Here are some details for those who signed up and are attending:

Saturday, January 25th - for those interested in meeting for breakfast, a group of us are meeting at the Whataburger at 2965 N. Hwy 77, Waxahachie, Tx. at 7:30 AM. Those who wish to skip this can meet us at the range at 9:00 AM or thereabouts. The range is Extreme Tactics and Training Solutions (ETTS) located at 620 Greathouse Rd., Waxahachie, Tx. - all who are not members will have to sign a liability release form for ETTS, and their range fee for non-members is $30 per day per shooter; you will make the check (or cash) payable to them. We normally shoot around 300 rounds per day per shooter.

Sunday, January 26th - for those staying for a second day of fun, we can meet for breakfast if desired, or all eat separately and just meet at the range; this can be decided Saturday afternoon before we leave the range.

There are enough folks coming that we should have a good array of shooting exercises/drills. Each day we can lunch anywhere nearby, or shoot until mid-to-late afternoon and go to a local establishment for supper - a word of caution: local establishments get very crowded after 5 PM on Friday and Saturday nights, so supper a little early of that is recommended. We can discuss during our range time on Saturday.

Everyone have a safe trip, and thanks for being a part of it!

My new Milt Sparks will arrive next week. Just in time for the Bash. This is like icing on a cake. Just in time for for a great event.

I've also reloaded a ton of 45 acp and plan to bring a PCC for some "jolly good fun". Two Wilsons and a PCC will make for a great event.... now we have to hope for good weather.

Unless the weather is totally inclement (I have a rain poncho and rubber boots), it should be a great time. Glad you are making the trip!

At the risk of opening an old thread

Current forecast:

Partly cloudy. Low chance of rain. Highs in the mid-upper 50’s, lows in the 40’s.

So far, so good!

Yep, it's looking as good as it can considering the time of year. Hope everyone has a safe trip, see you all next Saturday morning.

Kind of wish we were loading the car and heading for Texas this morning but we arenít going to be able to make it this year. Taking our winter trip to visit several family members in the south.

Will certainly miss the shooting but more so seeing our friends.

Hope everyone has a great time and look forward to seeing many in Berryville.

Perhaps someone will post some photos of what we are missing.

Hey G50AE, I am planning on bringing my buddy (who actually has a Wilson!) tomorrow. I hope this is ok. He is a safe shooter and I gave him the brief run down on how you usually run things. I also will bring some USPSA targets, staples, and pasters in case we need any extras. If we can’t manage another shooter please let me know.

Thanks and can’t wait to see everyone!
- Conner

Edit: Just kidding, my friend bailed, but I will still be in attendance

I'll try to get someone to take some photos David. I have a few new things up my sleeve for this weekend that should be rather interesting, but will post later about them after the Bash. I devised a new drill that should be a very interesting drill - it exercises different distances, different size targets, move and shoot, empty-mag slide lock reloads, transitions, multiple shots per target, shoot while moving, and a plate rack at the end of the string; as designed it is still under 30 rounds for the drill. As it sits, there is no baseline for scoring, so I will take times and points down to get a first sampling from the various skill-levels present. A few well-recognized trainers have expressed interest in the results.

Should be a fun day, with mostly sunny and mid-60's temps. We have been set up at the range with the highest and driest bay with the most gravel - I inspected it this afternoon and it looks to be in great shape and should present no problem as far as muddy feet. Everyone travel safely, and we'll see you in the morning.

Man how time slips up so quickly, unfortunately I will be in Ft Worth tomorrow, the Barrow (pig) show starts at 8 and the oldest grandson has a pretty good one this year. Between pigs and my knee I do t know if I will ever make one.

Buzzing drone....

Today at the range (first time ever) the range folks actually sent up a drone to take images of us shooting on the firing line - pretty cool really! I will try to get with them and see if I can get access to the videos it shot. It was not expected, but was pretty cool. A short while later, one of the young kids that help in the office was brought around by one of the range staff, and offered to take a few group photos of us on the range and showed us the photos - I will try to get a copy of those as well. It was a pretty good day, but late afternoon the wind came up and was blowing half the targets down - fortunately we adapted with the other half of the targets and ran some move-and-shoot drills. It started out sunny this morning, but as the wind slowly increased over the course of the day, it clouded up, and the mid-60's temps were still in the 50's for wind chills. A good long sleeve shirt and wind-breaker was good enough to take care of that. Everyone had a great time, and we will see about tomorrow.
