Got any pics of said Baron Blue CQB? I will be ordering one in 10mm shortly.
Would like to see one.

Can you send it to Birdy so he can take some better pics of it?

Just joking. Looks great. Thanks.
Trigger is steel and Blued to match?

Yes!

ETA: Anyone who has been to the Bash can tell you it looks much better in person than it does in pictures. That is an attribute of both the Baron blued guns and the Turnbull blued guns.

I have a Turnbull blue Commander on order. But this thread made me 'have to have' a Baron Blue gun. So I now have to have a 10mm CQB ordered in that finish as well.
I think it somewhat Birdys fault. And if he would be so kind as to pm me his address so I can send the bill for it to him I'd much appreciate it.

Oh, the slippery slope..... You won't be disappointed in either one when you hold them in your hand. Both finishes are very different, but they both have their own attributes that "pull you in" to them. I can look at my Turnbull pro for an hour marveling at the mystique of that charcoal blue finish, and do the same thing with the Baron blue in how it functions as a "black mirror" - literally. They are both amazing finishes, and Birdy is the only one I've seen on this forum that can actually capture their essence in photographs.

Great photos and write ups ... I scanned them thoroughly a long while back before ordering my Supergrade and Challis combos.

As much as I love looking at my own firearms, I keep coming back for the centerfolds!

Thanks again

Awesome; had I known about the French Border option when I ordered that CQB, it would have had it.

Hey Birdy,

Your Wilsons are truly impressive - I now better understand the "Supergrade" term...
One comment and one question: I love the nitre blued small parts, they remind us of the early 1911 production, and they just look gorgeous - why did you not have the mag catch button nitre blued while you had the other side done?

Thanks,
Burt
