Strolled out to the mailbox today after watching President Trump getting sworn into office, and much to my surprise it contained my newly issued ccw permit.
I take this as a very good sign of things to come for the country.
I agree. Luckily we have plenty of opportunities in the area including both steel challenge and silhouette timed events. Lately we have been getting into more rim fire pistol shooting, a bit cheaper outing and good fun.
You assume I don't farm 560 acres of irrigated corn and soybean, run 40 cow/calf pairs, and raising 2 kids all while working a full time job off the farm. But I will try to find more time in the future to tap on the keyboard.
Glad you went to the trouble and expense to get your permit.
Now do not do as most. Please carry as often as possible. Practice often and stay safe. I know several permit holders that have had a permit for years and might have carried a dozen times in those years and have not fired a gun since they were in the live fire portion of their permit application.
FL, took about two months, expedited because I'm a vet. 6 weeks to get the appointment to have my prints taken, etc., and then just under two to get it in the mail.

In San Diego there is little credit given for being a current licensee when re-applying.
It's pretty much back to Square One.
