ULC Commander

I picked this up from Jerry Hammond yesterday after ordering it in early April. Wilson quoted 6 months, and it ended up being almost exactly that. Itís a ULC Commander in 9mm.

Options:

- flush cut/reverse crown
- countersunk slide stop
- ball cuts
- serrated top of slide
- tritium front sight, square-notch battlesight
- round-butt magwell
- wide thumb saftety
- naked slide
- aggressive starburst grips

This is the third Wilson Iíve bought from Jerry, and heís always great to work with. Jerry lives about an hour from me, but in another state, and always drives down to meet me and do the transfer. This time, he brought his EDC X9 for me to look at in an attempt to get me to spend more money. It probably worked.

Congrats, that gun should handle as nice as it looks! Nice set of specs, and nice pic.

Great gun. I have one in 45acp. It's a joy to conceal carry, as it is very light. It's also a tack-driver, dead-nuts accurate.

Excellent gun build on really nice specs. There is not doubt that you will love it. Wonder how long before your X9 arrives.

Sweet with the naked slide.

You can't trust Jerry, he has talked me out of money multiple times.

Thanks for the compliments.

I was able to shoot it today. 200 rounds of 124gr FMJ and 100 rounds of 135gr Critical Duty. No issues and shoots great.

Yes, for sure.

The one change I would like to make is to add the Ameriglo front sight. I don't think that was an option yet when my gun kitted in April.

Looks killer, I like it. Ball cuts lined up correctly?

Of course not.

They're pretty close, though.

Ordered one of the new Ameriglo front sights from Wilson and tried it out today. I like it much better than the plain tritium.

I have not seen or shot one of the Ameriglo sight so this is purely conjecture but I would think that they would be really nice for quick defensive type shooting but perhaps a little lacking for more distance/precision shooting.

Curious as to your opinion if you have shot it since installing the new sight.

The new sight works fine for torso-sized steel at 100 yards.

The Ameriglo is a little wider than the stock tritium sight that was on it, but it wasnít a hindrance. I normally prefer a thinner front sight because I do a lot of bullseye shooting, but my eyesight has gone downhill some the last couple of years, and the hi-viz sight really helps me out.
