fake windows error

for the last few days I randomly get the browser window to turn into a fake windows virus update scam.

Mind DOING something about that ****

Ouch. Those are hard to get rid of sometimes. Try using your virus software to do a system scan. Or Google the exact error message and YOU may find a way to get rid of it.

it comes up as one from 2017. Its not me

It's not a fake windows error. No, it's not just you. I've been getting web attacks prevented by Norton Antivirus over the course of the last 2 days. I think it started on Sunday evening and I kept getting them all of Monday but I didn't experience any issues on Tuesday.

Next time anyone gets this, can you link me the page you were on when it happened? And any information that your anti-virus has about the source of these would be good too
