My New CQB Has Landed (pics inside)

Ordered on 3/4/20 directly from Wilson. Delivered today!

CQB 5 .45ACP
-Medium solid trigger
-Round butt frame
-white gold bead front sight
-flush cut reverse crown
-dehorn/heavy bevels
-countersunk slide stop
-omit front serrations
-omit CQB slide marking
-4.0lb specified trigger pull weight

Loving it so far, cant wait to get it to the range. Would like to have a more flush fitting magazine, what would be my best option tat is still a Wilson brand magazine for the most flush fit possible?

Congrats, you will enjoy it. I was able to get my 5” CQB out to the range today for the first time since this nonsense started, they are great guns.

Congrats, wonderful gun! Nice and clean, and great set of specs - I have a CQB and a pro with round butt frame before I started getting them with RBMW, and the round butt is a great option. The gold bead front is my favorite so far (and I like it domed instead of flat), and always get the countersunk slide stop as well. Let us know how you like it under live fire.

Very nice and clean! On the magazine fitting more flush maybe a thinner pad would help but your probably looked at that. Thanks for sharing the pictures.

Nice CQB, I have one and it is a good pistol. As to magazines go to Wilson's site and look up the 920 series welded base models. Most mag companies make a welded base model mag, I have Metalform, Ruger, Sig, and Springfield branded mags. Most are 7 rounds but I have a couple of 8 rounders. For a 1911 without a mag well I had rather have flush fitting mags, no reason other than looks.

I too use the 47DC mags. The ones above are 47DCB with the B being for black.
These are the stainless ones I use. Both have the Lo-profile steel base pads.

I have two CQBs and love them. They are top-shelf quality and will outlast me.

Love that CQB! As to the mag. I would add the WC blended mag well. That would reduce the amount of magazine you are seeing. I’m a big proponent of mag wells and WC does it right. Looking forward to your shooting review.

I ran 150 rounds through it this evening. My range was only open for 30 more minutes by the time I got off work so I had to shoot quick and I am by not means a good shot but I am honest about my shortcomings. So here it is first time out all Blazer Brass 230gr at 10 yards. No issues of any kind, flawless. Hope to go back this coming weekend to shoot another 150rds at hopefully a slower pace and then Ill field strip and clean.
