Great choice! Anyone wanting one needs to get it now. They just began to be available again a few days ago.

Why put a coat on it if you only wear it in the summer?

Springfield Armory Range Officer Elite is a railed pistol with a great coating. I carry one daily, both on and off duty, and have fired thousands of rounds. It looks like new. Also I've got a Para USA Black Ops (single stack) that has an Ionbond finish. That stuff is seriously tough. It looks like Remington has taken over Para's operation, and don't know if they're Ionbonding their railed guns. But maybe worth a look.

Don't know if you bought anything yet, but in addition to the DW Specialist / Specialist Commander, the DW TCP is now also available. The TCP gives you an alloy frame, bull barrel, railed commander option.

Maybe it did not sale. All I can go by is what the auction shows and it says sold for $1600. There was only one bid on it. Doesn't look like bidders were jumping all over it.

I don't really care what any of them sell for. Because I already have all the 1911 type pistols that I will ever need.

Ruger has a special run of as black nitrate 1911s with a rail I paid 750 for a brand new and the trigger is crisp around 4 lbs and is tighter than most. It also runs everything I've fed it and all my reloads and won't break the bank. Good luck on your qwest

I'm still searching, but the requirements have changed slightly. I accidentally bought a suppressor in 45 . I'm hopeful whatever I find also comes with a threaded barrel, as having one fitted is pretty expensive.

Light rail/rail/light/suppressor seems like a sweet combo

Springfield makes a silent operator that fits your description. Threaded, armory coat and elevated sights to compensate for the silencer
