I've never spent a thou on a pistol, or any firearm for that matter.
As for cheapo ammo, there is a difference between cheap and junk.
Cheap is OK for the range, but junk (remember Amerc?) never is.

Unfortunately, when it comes to "cheap" ammo nowadays, it IS all junk. There are factory reloads out there from Black Hills etc.. that are far better than the big boys bargain garbage.
