Kudos to Atlanta Arms (AA) Ammo

I've been using their 38S Elite 125 gr major-PF for about a year now...It is priced reasonably and is absolutely the most accurate ammo I've ever shot any caliber (I don't reload)...But that is not why I am "kudoing", the last shipment of 300R I received lass week was in a totally destroyed shipping box. UPS really messed this one up. Looks like it burst open fell in water. The 50R boxes were also damaged and had many rounds missing. Evidently, UPS agent tried to put humpty dumpty back together and taped the mess up. Why they sent it to me rather than back to AA's is an enigma.

Anyway, all I needed to do was send AA a few pics and they had another 300 R on the way the next day...

I do spend some time bitching about various gun-genera vendor's, so always good to balance it out with good stories of great CS.

Atlanta Arms loads some of the most accurate 9mm match ammo around. Their 115 grain match ball load is used by the AMU (Army Marksmanship Unit) in their M9s, rebuilt for CMP service pistol events. Some guns are shooting 1" groups (10 shots, 50 yds from a machine rest), with the average at less than 1.5". Good stuff.

I reload most of my ammo so I don't buy much from Atlanta Arms. However, when I want to do real testing for accuracy, Atlanta Arms is what I get.

That's good to know!
Did they request that you send the damaged ammo back with a pick up label?
If not, that's pretty darn nice of them!! Even a major brand will make you send their stuff back if damaged.

Yes, they mailed me a label, and I just swapped boxes with the UPS agent when he came with the new ammo...AA wanted it as evidence to file a claim with UPS. I didn't want to keep it, I wouldn't want to use it in my fancy 1911's and ammo is hard to dispose around here. It was 38s, my police dept uses 45, to wit...

I got 1,000 r of damaged 45 Ball box/ammo from cabales maybe 5 years ago. They didn't want it back, so I donated it to my local Police with a warning that some of the bullets were pushed into the brass cases. I could have used a bunch of it, but given cabales sent me another 1,000, felt it would be bad karma to keep it so I found a way to dispose of it and give a gift to the Cop's...About 6 months later I ran into the PD-Sargent around town and he said they used it for practice after tossing the ones which were too far gone.
