NOVAK sights for Taurus PT 1911.

Not sure if the word is out but Novak makes sights to fit the pt 1911. They have night sights and fiber optic sights.

Does anyone have them? Which ones and Do you like them?

Carefull.... These are NOT drop in at all... I think they just advertise them as drop in for more sales. Mine needed about an hour of fitting on the rears to get them in and I was irritated about that to say the least...

I got them in and shot them for one day and found that I liked the Heinies much better after all and took them out and put the Heinies back in.

I bought the Tritium night sights which were cool looking but you will need to get them fit by a gunsmith if you are weary about using a dremel at all.

I do however like the front Fiber Optic sights from Novak... They only needed about 15 mins of fitting with a file and 1000 grit sandpaper. I kept those on and am using them in conjunction with my rear Heinies.

here is a pic of em on my PT-1911.

I actually like the Heinie sights. I've handled a few PTs recently and those sights were definitely well chosen in my opinion. Speaking of, I just got my W-2s in the mail and should have my return in 1 or 2 days (H&R Block's Emerald Card rocks). I'll have my first 1911 (Taurus, BTW) by the middle of next week at the latest, finally!

Nice PT.

Thanks for the info.

I am looking to add night sights to the pt. I guess I will stick with Heinie.
