A number of justices were waiting for Hillary to be elected before retiring.

And, we'll have to use the 'nuclear option' again to get one appointed. Wait for the 'wailing and gnashing of teeth' - it will be epic. Some were saying during the campaign that the winner would possibly have to appoint up to four Justices, even for a one-termer. The 'dims' have to eventually accept the fact that elections have consequences, the same 'bitter pill' we've had to swallow after the previous two elections. Now its our turn to strut whether they like it or not. They also should consider what terrible consequences might ensue from their actions and words against Trump, because if not 2020, surely at a future time they will get back in the White House and very well may have the same kind of hatred directed back at them.
To me the SCOTUS was the crux of the election - any other issue was secondary. Now we are most likely going to enjoy a conservative court for the foreseeable future, possibly for decades. I'd say the 2A is a lot safer than it was prior to Gorsuch getting on.

I couldn't agree more. This past election was all about the SCOTUS appointment(s) for me. There was no way we could have hitlery making those appointments. Incidentally, schumer can whine all he wants about the use of the 'nuclear option'. There is no doubt the 'dims' would have used it, after all, they did it for lesser court appointments. He's just ticked off that we got to do it before they could.
