Anyone have the SR1911 Stainless Officer?

I've searched and found a few older threads on this, but instead of reviving them, I decided to start a new one.

Does anyone here have the SR1911 Officer model? I'm particularly interested in the Stainless model, but input on any of them is appreciated.

I have a soft spot for compact 1911's. My first 1911 was a Colt Defender. It ran well if I held it in a white-knuckle death grip, but otherwise had a lot of stovepipe FTE's. My Springfield TRP and Champion have been flawless. So I guess the only "opening" I have now is for an Officer's model. I'm also a huge fan of bull barrels, so that's also a plus.

I doubt I'll ever own another 3-inch 1911 like the Defender, but the Officer's has my attention. Even Wilson Combat says that 3.5 inches is the shortest barrel that can run reliably.

Officers .45

I do have the SR1911 officers stainless in .45

Since I bought, i rarely shoot or carry my other 1911s. It is awesome.

I have done the trigger, installed a flat bottom FPS, and sharpened up the thumb safety detent for a "crisper" feel. Otherwise, I just shoot it.

it shoots better than I do - you wont be disappointed

PM if you want more details.

I had an old Ruger Officer thread going. I've had the 9mm since October and I enjoy it more every time it goes to the range. It's just a fun little gun to shoot and accurate and reliable. I trust it enough to carry it!

I was trying to find a spare recoil spring(three combined springs) for mine. I could not find any online. I called Ruger and they sent me the three combination springs for free!
My Ruger Officer Stainless shoots great and has been 100% reliable. Ruger's customer service is awesome!

I'm waiting for a lightweight officers in .45 - if they offer one, I may never carry my Detonics Combat Masters again!!

Just kidding, Ill probably still carry them to barbecues, and for Sunday-go-to-meeting.

Just picked up a Lightweight Officer 9mm for the wife yesterday. The first magazine out of it was very impressive, 69-3X out of 7 rounds at 30'. Unfortunately, every magazine after that resulted in failing to fire every other round.
The first mag had old Federal aluminium cased cartridges, while the rest were out of a new box of Norma. Out looking for more Federal today.

Just ran this new one with some 230gr factory ball to check function and start loading for various uses.
Trigger needs the face polished a bit.
Nice gun.
Made some thicker stocks that fill the frame's width.
Just off the sander/cutter.
45 of course.

Would be nicer if the grip frame was full size as short barrels and long grips frames carry nice and more on boats.
