Thinking seriously about a Ed Brown EVO

As the title states, I've a birthday approaching and am considering an EVO. I an a serious DW fan but the EVO appears to fill a small hole that nothing else does. Just a plain KC9 or KC9 G4. While stainless is fine, I really appreciate the toughness of DW's Duty finish. The EB G4 polymer finish is unknown to me and am requesting opinions to its toughness to scraps and abrasions. No considerations for dragging anything behind a truck but this addition will not be a safe queen. Your thoughts, please.

I think the EB Gen 4 finish is slicker (as in less friction) than duty treat or black nitride. It seems I have to grip a little harder when I rack the slide. Durability is probably about the same. My EB is showing some nice holster wear.

My EVO-CCO9-LW is my carry gun. It has gotten a Very slight amount of holster wear in the corners of the slide muzzle in my leather holsters. I would probably not use kydex.

I bought a stainless kc9, looked.pretty for sure. But, I got in IONBonded and i like it very much. Ionbond is superior to the Gen4 spray and bake finish

Gen 4 doesnt wear very well nothing like Duty treatment. As said above order it in ionbond if you want it black it is a much more durable finish.. IMO Ed browns spray bake finish wears very easily...

Gen 4 is softer than baby powder, Brown stainless is unmatched, go stainless or nothing at all

I just bought a Gen 4 EVO. I really like the gun but it shoots about 1 1/2 inches low at 15 yards. The lateral position of the sight is fine but I am wondering if there's a way to adjust the height of where it shoots.

Iíve had my mine since May 2019. It is a very nice gun, and I traded a Dan Wesson Guardian towards it.

BUT the Gen 4 coating is nowhere near as durable as the DW finish.
