S&W PC 1911 (170343) Front Sight Replacement

I recently bought the S&W PC 1911 (170343) 5" barrel /slide cuts and want to replace the front sights with either a white dot or fiber sight. Also, if someone has the front sight dimensions such as dovetail width, height etc. that would help as well.

If you have a part number for the front sight i would greatly appreciate it.

Pick the one that's made for your gun:

Thanks for the information: Based on my research it takes the gen 2 front site. Dawson has these options available.Which one?

Dawson Precision S&W 1911 Pro Series Optic Front Sights

Dawson Precision S&W 1911 Performance Center Gen1 Fiber Optic Front Sights

Also, can someone confirm the height at .180 ?

Call Dawson direct. They have forgotten more about sights than most know and they are user friendly. I am not being nasty, I just know how one question can lead to another. Going to the source just assures all issues resolved with one stop shop.
