For every make/model of firearm I own, there's a forum that I found using Google.

Makes solving issues and problems less stressful (usually). Also, lots of good info and ideas are shared.......usually something that I wouldn't have thought of. Oh, the lack of flaming and political discussions too.

Happy to be here

I was looking for information about Roy Baker pancake holsters and found a link to the forum. I bought mine new decades ago to dress my combat commander for concealed carry. I've had it ever since and still occasionally use it today. I became a 1911 disciple while in the army and formalized my conversion after picking up a copy of Cooper on Handguns (wish I still had that book!). Anyway--I'm glad I found the forum!

Was dong a search on Google for Para Warthog and found a thread on the forum started by someone in the same boat as I. Had to join to reply Glad I did though I am still very new here but think I may have found a place to hang out. Some very friendly people here. And the fact I learned to shoot on my fathers Colt M1911A1 with a 22 conversion makes me feel like I'm almost back home.

New Guy

This is the first forum I have ever joined. I've been a lurker for years ( via Google ) and have often used great information from members for projects, etc. Glad that I joined and I'm looking forward to contributing and meeting fellow enthusiasts.

Google search for "variations colt 1911 1991a1" or something to that effect.

Familiar with differences between Series 70 & 80, I new there had to be more and as they say "inquiring minds want to know".

I was doing a Google search on the Colt Defender and the 1911 Forum popped up on the first page. Having a 30+ year love affair with the Colt 1911, this sure sounded like home.

i found this site

I found this site while googling the P238 Sig I bought for my girlfriend the other day. I've also poked around this site for technical 1911 threads in the past, but finally I decided to walk out of the shadows.
