[Henricofop4] Trooper Don Childs- First Responder All Star Award Nominee‏

My friend from VSP asked me to forward this.
Thanks,
Jim

Friends

Good afternoon. I hope everyone is doing well -- wanted to draw your attention to something very special going on right now!! Some of you may have heard of VA State Trooper Don Childs. He is the helicopter pilot whose chopper was gunned down a few weeks ago while searching for the Appomattox shooter. Also, his daugher Heidi was the VA Tech student who was tragically murdered along with her boyfriend David a few months ago. I am bringing up Don because he has been nominated by Fox TV's America's Most Wanted for their First Responder All-Star Award for 2010. The grand prize is $10,000 along with a trip to the NASCAR race in Charlotte where the winner will be introduced in front of the crowd.

This is what I need from you. I need for you to vote for our very own Don on the America's Most Wanted website (link is below). You can vote once a day per email address. There are spots for 8 finalists for the award and one finalists spot has already been filled. We only have 7 more chances to get Don in the finalist category!! Please go and vote for Don -- he goes to my church and is a great guy. If anyone deserves this it's him. Also, tell your family and friends about this and have them vote too!!

Thanks guys

All you have to do is type Childs in the box.

Got this from my FOP lodge.

So vote; thanks.

I voted for Don

When you open the link, the home page will show a box where you can search for nominees. Type in Childs, and hit "search". A picture of Don will appear, but you must read the entire summary (click on more) to get to the end of the summary where you will see a "box" button where you can place a vote.
