Tisas 1911-A1 sale at Grab-a-Gun

Just saw this ad this morning for $350, President's Day.
https://grabagun.com/sds-imports-191...inch-7rds.html

Besides nice price-point, looks like free shipping for the next couple days.

It is a great gun. I have one. However, it is regularly available for less from a lot of online retailers. Take a look at: WikiArms.com

By the way, this is a great website for comparison shopping. However, please note that most retailers are selling stock from distributors, so there can be up to a couple weeks wait.

Classic Firearms has them back in stock for $339.99. I was almost ready to get one, but then I remembered I have over a dozen nearly identical ones already.

Avoid the temptation to replace everything on your brand-new 1911 just to make it "better". Know what you're changing out and why. You may spend a lot of money fixing things that weren't broken to begin with. Shoot at least 500 rounds through it first, then decide what you don't like and want to improve. Regarding vintage 1911s, pre-1970 pistols are highly collectible in original, unaltered condition and should NEVER be refinished or modified as it completely ruins their monetary value.

Are parts on this 1911 standard sized? I ask because if might make a nice base pistol to begin learning how to make/modify a 1911 as I see so many others doing (checkering, fitting a beavertail and hammer, fitting ambi safety, etc.). Thanks!

That's how I bought my pistol. My local gun store had it for $340.99, shipping was free to the store, and my background check was $10. I was tempted to buy from Classic Firearms, but shipping and FFL fees would easily add more to the cost.
