Check out this Gun Broker listing 🙂

Check out what I found on GunBroker.com!

I asked the seller is it can’t with diamond earrings and this was his response:

“Sorry not. This gun is intended for Mature Real Men! The set of Diamond Earrings
if Included, would have been intended for Girlies or Faggots. You Must Be One or
The Other! Therefore, You Are Not Allowed To Bid!”

What a scammer!

I don't see the problem. There are 3 other listings for similar guns that list for around $1500 that don't have a Trijicon RMR Type 2 Adjustable LED Sight and 5 magazines. The Trijicon retails for over $400. This gun has several other added features not found on the standard Q5 match pistol.

You asked a smart ass question and got a smart ass answer. You got what you paid for.

Maybe.....other than it’s 1200 to 1500 package. It’s also likely not new either.

I suspect the seller thinks he is selling a Q5 SF and not a Q5. Q5 is a $700 gun...an SF is a $1400 gun. Add the optic, and $300 in mags and mag extensions and boom....it’s around $2k or so if it’s an SF. The gun is stock other than an $80 DPM spring.

I have the exact same set up.

Itís ok man, relax, no one gets out alive. Your question can be lighthearted and so can his answer. Laugh it off and pick better battles.

No seller can screw a buyer by simply asking a lot of money. He canít force them to pay that. If they do thatís their choice. Have a blessed night.

If it was for "Mature Real Men" it would be a 1911.

He just sent me an angry email banning me from bidding 🙂

I emailed him back simply suggesting that I thought he was confused thinking the gun was a Q5 SF.

He hit me with a volley of insults and told me a real competition shooter would know his listing was a deal.

You donít believe the pistol is as valuable as the seller thinks it is and the seller doesnít want to sell it to you.

Those two things cancel each other out.

I sell sometimes on Gunbroker. I always like when I get the insultingly lowball offers. On a couple occasions, the offer was so ridiculous that I replied with a smart butt response. One time I felt bad and sent a follow up email apologizing but it just took me so off-guard.

Anyway, I thought your initial response was funny but it’s so hard to tell the tone of the person through text/email. Dude looks a little childish.

Yep. I think the extra charge was for having to decipher "Ebonics."

It kind of reminds me of the one idiot that tried to sell a beat up Stevens 311 for 3 times it's value because some meth-head carved "KKK forever" into the stock, and he deemed "historically significant". His excuse was all the other sellers selling Nazi marked ww2 firearms at a premium. I never knew the meth lab explosion in the trailer park had the same historical impact as the third reich.

I get all the free market crap but I have to give the OP credit for calling bs when he sees it. And after hearing the sellers response I say the OP is justified in his comments.

All my 1911s are in .45acp. Why? Because no one makes one in .46cal.--Me

There is no point in getting worked up. The market has a self-adjusting equilibrium... ask too much, get no offers. Ask too little, it sells fast, lots of bids.

Price follows the law of supply and demand.

I'd say he was spot on but omitted the whiny arsed, cry-baby, "Sell it to me cheaper cause I can't afford it" option.

If you're interested in buying something and insult the seller don't be surprised if you get the door slammed in your face. The guy may have been a dick about it but it sounds like the OP was asking for it as well.

Avoid the temptation to replace everything on your brand-new 1911 just to make it "better". Know what you're changing out and why. You may spend a lot of money fixing things that weren't broken to begin with. Shoot at least 500 rounds through it first, then decide what you don't like and want to improve. Regarding vintage 1911s, pre-1970 pistols are highly collectible in original, unaltered condition and should NEVER be refinished or modified as it completely ruins their monetary value.
