The media take on the Richmond rally

Thousands of gun owners, many of them armed and some members of out-of-state militias and hate groups, descended on Richmond on Monday amid a fierce battle over Virginia's gun laws.
In spite of this nonsense, everything went well. This should happen all over the country. Second amendment people are the good guys.

Kinda makes the elected dumbasses think about the votes standing out there!
However, too stupid to realize that they will never vote for them!!

Lol, "hate groups". Any group that pushes traditional morals, and economic ideas to the right of Lenin is a "hate group" to a leftists.

CNN's lowered ratings should give you an idea of how much the populace cares about the opinion of MSM. The media has basically cried wolf too many times. Instead of the word "wolf", it was words like "racist" and "hate group" they used too often. The lack of violence today is more telling about lawful gun owners, and right leaning protesters than anything the news media says.

The mainstream news media, including CNN and MSN were unusually positive. Both made note of the fact that the rally was peaceful and that all the dread over armed men gathering by the thousands proved to be a non-issue. Unfortunately there were still a few asinine comments, like one anti-gun observer who saw a young man with a Lapua .338 rifle and demanded to know what he thought he needed such a large rifle for. So apparently even big guns are bad??? Anything that looks scary to the snowflakes is unfit for civilian use apparently.

Regarding vintage 1911s, pre-1970 pistols are highly collectible in original, unaltered condition and should NEVER be refinished or modified as it completely ruins their monetary value.

Yesterday's Colt Sporter is today's "assault weapon". Today's "hunting rifle" is tomorrow's "deadly sniper." The fudds fail to realize every gun is hated by a leftist, aside from maybe over and under shotguns priced in the five and six figures range (only after proper and expensive licensing though, we can't have the peasants hunting on land reserved for the king and his men to enjoy).

From the article:

Quote:
A small group from gun-control advocacy group March For Our Lives, however, camped out inside the offices of the state General Assembly, where they met with legislators on Monday and held a small gathering to remember those killed due to gun violence.

"Today was a huge success and we were glad not only to advance our lifesaving agenda with legislators, but also to serve as a moral counterweight to the hate and division on display in the streets," said Michael McCabe, political director of March for Our Lives Virginia.
There you have it. Being pro-Second Amendment makes you part of a hate group.

Tucker Carlson's show cited several lefty headlines, "Mostly peaceful".

The event was 100% peaceful of course, left wing doublespeakers!

They put it on par with all the left wing riots. They always call the riots, where buildings burn, mostly peaceful. Which is the same thing they called this rally.

Course, we already knew the media was dishonest.

Was good to see such great attendance!
The MSM covered the event, but when they didn't have expectations of violence & dire predictions met... The pivot for many media outlets was defense of those wrong predictions and discussion of "hate groups" instead of coverage of why those folks were out there.

It's not news anymore.
Hasn't been for a long time.
It's simply entertainment propaganda.

Thousands of gun rights advocates, including dozens of armed militias, gathered in the US state of Virginia on Monday in a rally that many feared could have turned violent.

The event ended peacefully amid heavy security after the state's Governor Ralph Northam declared a state of emergency, which banned all weapons from the Capitol grounds in Richmond through Tuesday.

so much for the Governor and his intelligence sources. The governors state of emergency has NOTHING to do with the peaceful protest and ban of weapons on capital grounds. 22000 MOSTLY armed patriots insured the peace. The radical left stayed away because they feared the results if they showed up. Nobody likes to get their butt kicked on national TV.
