Old new guy

Old(er) dog learning new tricks, or actually relearning old ones. Been in quite a few directions in terms of manual of operation over the years and have fairly recently come back to the 1911 MOA. I've mostly been a DA/SA shooter but I bought some Sigs last year that are SA, cocked and locked guns and found that I shoot them better than DA. Finally closed the circle that started with a Beretta 70s back in '82. Have a DW Guardian in .45acp on the way. Prior to this my favorite caliber was .40S&W and this will be my first .45.

Anything with a FLGR is fluff, if JMB didn't put it on the 1911 you don't need it.
If you are going to collect, don't be 'drawn' to an example that is not original, nor correct. Instant gratification is more expensive than a good education.

I like "Come back to the 1911"

That's common, I myself have done that! The best way to come back is if you never sold your iron in the first place.

At any rate, welcome.
