Hey Y'all, from South Carolina and new here

Denny from Ninety Six, SC
New here today.
Just this week I received my M1911A1 from CMP. Long wait, nearly two years since I submitted my forms. I received a "Field Grade" M1911 from CMP in a very nice case, along with documentation of authenticity.
It appears to be a 1941 Colt frame with a replacement slide and hammer.
I'm anxious to try it out.
I joined the Forum hoping to learn more about it.
Thanks for the opportunity.
I've already enjoyed reading some posts!

Welcome from Montana.
Congratulations on your new 1911, enjoy, we'd all be interested in a range report when you shoot it!

Anything with a FLGR is fluff, if JMB didn't put it on the 1911 you don't need it.
If you are going to collect, don't be 'drawn' to an example that is not original, nor correct. Instant gratification is more expensive than a good education.
