Nice estate sale find

Friend of mine found this old Marbles Ideal at an estate sale, figured he got it for around $30.
From the handle ring colors looks to be pre-war.
The other two Ideals shown with it, are still Michigan Made knives but made within the past 20 years.
It looks like the newer ones shortened the blade but increased the handle size.
Nice old Marbles to add to my collection.

The old ones are the best! Nice find. Are estate sales "essential" in your state?

Our local swap meet is closed indefinitely. The parking lot at the stadium is being used to store all the rental cars not being used. I can imagine what rental car lots in FL or Las Vegas look like now.

Check the Bark River Knives Face Book Page; join and ask Mike Stewart about the Marbles Knives. Mike was the Chief Knife Maker for Marbles before they went cheap to China. Mike is now the owner of Bark River Knife and Tool; they made nice using knives for reasonable dollars...

I get auction reminders almost daily from several auction sites and one of the latest estate auctions had dozens of various Marble knives. All were well over $100 each. I think your friend got a great deal.
