Another Pawn Shop Princess

Came across this revolver this past weekend and after I felt the trigger I immediately put it on lay-a-way. Someone did a beautiful job replicating the trigger of a Colt Python and accomplished an expert example of it. If you've ever felt a Python trigger, you know what I mean. Came with upgraded fiber optic sights and is in bright stainless too. Ruger GP100 357 4". I'm finding some GP100's actually left the factory in bright, but I don't know if this is one but she sure is done professionally regardless.

Looks sharp! Congrats!
You might can call Ruger customer service and provide the serial number and find out if it is factory polished. Worth a try.

I have never seen one from the factory polished like that. It looks as if it was polished while assembled with the pins in place. I think it was somebody with a can of flitz......

Yeah, it's hard to tell, up close somebody did a helluva job then. I've seen them done custom where the frame is left brushed and the cylinder and release button is polished and looked pretty cool.

Good Find!!

Have you shot it, and if you did, how do you like the rear sight?

I saw the sights at The Ruger Store, but have been curious if they are good and handle repetitive shooting without resetting.

Still in lay-a-way jail, I'll get it out soon, I'm about to leave on vacation so it'll have to wait until I get back.
I paid $500 OTD, not a steal, but considering what somebody has put into it it's not bad either.

Very nice. Some of the distributor exclusives were polished and had fiber optic sights. Either way you got a great score. Enjoy it.

That is a very nice revolver! Yes, the GP100 is capable of having a very nice double action trigger pull. I actually prefer it over the Smith & Wesson, but that is just me.

Great find! I have a soft spot in my heart for Ruger in general. I have a GP100 MC and WC and love them both!
