yours is nicely dehorned.

I will ask when they become available.

When I switched hands, I did not find a pinch/dig point using my left hand. My right hand is a different story.

thanks for the info.

Took the "P" for a rental test drive today. Nice pistol. Felt good, pointed good, functioned flawlessly, definitely outshoots my abilities. Being a rental gun, needless to say it has not been treated with kid gloves. Only issue was the front sight was off center and walked further to the right while we had it. Spoke to the attendant and he said that they have had to re-center it five times and he was thinking of staking it in place since it gets rented so much red loctite would not have enough time to dry before it was requested again. I would think that overnight would be plenty of time, but it wasn't my house to make recommendations.

Received a holster from Black Point Tactical for my P, have about 24 hours of total carry and range time with it so far. This is my first holster from them and so far I've been very impressed, conceals pretty well with button down shirts and rides very close to the body.

Looks great! It’s winter so I use mine under a hoodie or jacket. In warmer weather I take my light off and use a Garrett Thunder Solo IWB.

Emailed my order today for a Staccato-P DUO in 9mm. I specified the 2019 version (which is what I should get anyway) since it appears the 2020 version is 1/4" longer. Heard nothing back from the rep yet though about the order being received.

Think the price will stay high even on used ones because they are hard to find. I can’t tell you how many people I called before finding one in stock. One dealer said they had people waiting outside before they opened to grab the ones they had

I got one of the last Gen1 2019 Staccato P's! It will be here Friday. it has the Gen2 grip, but everything else is the same. Guess this is what is called transition gun. They must have run out of Gen1 grips and didn't want to buy anymore with piles of the new ones sitting there?

I would have waited for the Gen 2, but I haven't warmed to it yet. I still prefer the look of the Gen1 guns. Though my mind has been known to change. What I really want is a DVC P or Costa Carry Comp, but $4K was not in the cards right now with the new house and Christmas. Maybe by the time I am ready to buy one I will have warmed to the Gen2 guns and get the Staccato XC (comped version that replaces the DVC P).

I love the DVC L I picked up a few weeks ago, so I just had to get another! So for now, this is what I have coming...

Other than a couple of more picatinny slots on the Gen1, the Dust Cover is the same. What difference do you see? I could be wrong, but I think what you are seeing is the .25" longer slide that now extends past the dust cover on the Gen2.

Nope. The Gen1 Stacatto P has the full length dust cover. Gen2 has a Butler cut.

Are the Dust Covers are different lengths? I say no...

You realize that the Gen2 slide is longer because the Gen2 barrel is longer (Gen2 slide = 4.45" vs Gen1 slide = 4.15")? So are you sure you are not just seeing the longer slide of the Gen2 extending past the Dust Cover?

The barrel/slide on the Gen2 is .4" longer; that's almost a half an inch. The slide looks to extend past the dust cover by just under a half an inch. That would mean, the dust cover is the same length on the Gen1 and Gen2. The only difference in the dust cover would be the number of slots on the rail.

In all honestly, I think the front of the gen1 rail looks less bulky then the front of the Gen2 rail. But as I said, at the moment, I prefer the looks of the Gen1 Staccatos and DVCs.

Yes. The one on the right is the original. The one of the left is the Gen2 with Butler cut. The newest version still has the butler cut with a 4.4" barrel.

Are you saying the dust covers are different lengths? All I am talking about is the length of the dust cover. I'm saying the Dust Covers on the Gen1 and Gen2 are the same length. You disagree?

A butler cut usually starts out with a Full-Length Dust Cover and the length is cut down. I'm saying these dust covers are the same length and the ends of the dust cover are cut differently.

Wait, I actually found a few more pictures online of the Gen2 and think you are right! The dust cover on the Gen2 does look shorter.

I wish they would have stuck with the 4.15”. That being said, I wish they would have made the 4.4” (Gen2) a true full pic rail and not the butler cut with only one pic slot.

This is just my personal preference. Santa disappoints, again haha
