See page 2 of the GC subforum. There’s a thread started by me titled “Finally after what seemed like forever”. There’s pics of my turnbull blued no name. Those pics however don’t truly show the depth or beauty of this wonderful pistol

Congrats. You’ll be extremely happy with that GI.
CoolE has a beauty NN in TB also.
At some point I hope to add the same pistol to my little group.
What’s your lead time?

The lead time is about 3 months on a regular build, and 5 months with the Turnbull bluing.

Funny you ask. I always say I'm going to shoot the nice guns, but don't. Then I feel bad owning guns I don't shoot, so I sell them. Then I buy another nice gun and...

Turnbull blueing looks so nice in person. Its beauty seemingly cannot be duplicated with photography. At least not very often, if ever.

No matter the builder of the gun (as long as it's a good builder), these Turnbull blued 1911s are always works of art.

Tastes in grip panels will, of course, differ from person to person, but give thought to a pair of ivory grips. Not for shooting, but to serve as a superb added artistic element.

That just ain't right man, I bet you only gave your kids one piece of Halloween candy a day to be eaten.
That sure is a "purdy" gun!
Is that .45 or .50?

Agreed! Any ivory would be gorgeous, but can you imagine a set of cross-cuts with dark or blue accents on that beauty, where's my napkin?
