Picked up a build on an SVI frame, in 10mm. I believe this is was a factory gun that someone fit a new slide and 10mm barrel for. It's quite accurate but was a bit undersprung for my 10mm handloads right out of the box.

New STI picked up!

Picked up my first STI (older style DVC L) and it feels and looks great. Can not wait for some range time.

Sales add said it was un fired and it looks that way. Barrel looks perfect!

The slide million work in the top and sides just works. Looks like a nice thought out design.

Slide and barrel fit is great. No wiggle at all.

Have not weighed the trigger but it sure feels like the advertised 2.5 lbs range.

Got it for a nice price too. 🙂

Now to find some more mags and a holster.

Nice Limited! Don't know your purpose for a holster is, I have two from Double Alpha, a PDR Pro and a Alpha-X. It's harder to find holsters for these newer STI's but I think that anything that fits an Edge should work. I think that's what I got and it fits the Limited's, 3-Gun and Combat Master.

Mainly going to use it for steel challenge, uspsa. Thanks for the info. I’ll see what I can find.

My First 2011 :)

Just picked up this beast

Simply the most balanced and accurate pistol I've ever handled. I was surprised it has a 5.4" barrel, you don't see that "in-between" length very often, but it's accurate as hell and aesthetically perfect IMO. BTW anyone know who supplies the barrels for STI? especially on this 2011 Combat Master?

They are nice for sure. Your's is shown with a 126 mag, came with 4 140mm's didn't it? I just wish they made it in a boys or mans caliber, I'd buy a couple more

Nice, you will get ton's of accuracy out of a 5.4"...That length has something to do with competition, don't remember which division, but it is the "largest" gun which will fit in such and such a box in such and such division I was told. I have an Infinity in 5.4". Darn gun is almost designed like mine, I should have waited and would have saved a lot of $$$ vs Infinity ;-), and STI has better CS too.

Yes, unfortunately my state has a limit on magazine capacity

Will be able to use the intended mags when I eventually move

You're spot on, the gun nearly shoots it's self. I'm a decent shot but this thing is almost like cheating, hold groups way better than any other pistol I've handled. This is a 10 shot 2" group at 10 yards:

I can't do that consistently with any of my other handguns. I'd still like to find out who supplies these barrels to STI, or are they just standard Match Grade Bull Barrels?

So I walked into a gun store

And on the shelf side by side I found 2 older models of the STI line up. Let’s just say I brought them home to make sure they were safe

Very nice. I had a similar situation when I purchased my STI Omni. Did not know I wanted it until I couldn’t put it down.
