Fell in love with my Gold Cup all over again...

Hi all -- new to the forum here...

A Winchester Valupak of .45ACP made it into my shopping cart at Wal-Mart last night (couldn't resist the temptation!). Today was a beautiful range day, so I pulled out the old Gold Cup from the safe for a little ride in the car. My HK P7M13, HK P7, and KT P357 went on the trip too.

I had forgotten how sweet the Gold Cup was to shoot! Nice tight groups at 25 yards, but drifting a little to the left. No screw driver in the range bag to adjust the sight, so I just compensated a little to the right for this session. This has me interested in 1911s again.

I still seem to shoot better with the HK P7 -- but then it has recieved most of my shooting attention lately. I have the feeling the good price of the Valupak ammo at Walmart will cause me to give my Gold Cup more attention.

I look forward to learning from the experience and minds on here!

I finaly managed to take some time for a photo shoot with my SA Loaded! The pics are not really good, but I'll take more time to take them when I do the upgrades on the gun. I really want to change those grips. Too light brown for my tastes... And a magwell is on the way too.

Here's the 3 Caspians I've built, with machine work by pistolwrench and lots of knowledge and advice from bjg-1911. Got a couple more frames on the way now for another full size .45 and one in 9mm.

Dan Wesson: Patriot "Marksman"

Ignore all those nasty rumors you may have heard. Dan Wesson makes a fantastic pistol for a equally fantastic price. Great shooting, very smooth and good looking both inside and out. Mal

Colt Gov't model in bright stainless with a few upgraded parts. I'd like to get the front strap checkered but the skateboard tape will have to do for now ;-)
