SR1911 CMD With a couple upgrades

just got the frame back from Evolution Armory (thanks mark) and now she has a 25lpi checkered frontstrap as well as the FBI mod to the slide stop pin. I added a Fusion 25lpi two peice Stainless magwell and now both front and back match. I could not find the grips that i wanted so i made my own with a set of black checkered Duragrips (25$) and original Ruger medallions(10$) both from sellers on Ebay. I definitely am not a gunsmith but i think it came out not to shabby.Props go out to Mark at Evolution Armory for the quick 2 week turnaround and the absolute excellent work his company does.

The only upgrades to my CMD are a small Colt safety and a Colt sear spring. The sear spring brought mine down to a good 3-1/2# trigger pull. The giant bat wing safeties hurt my thumb. I did add stair tread tape to the front strap.

Nice. I like the checkering, and you did a great job on the grips.

Especially for inserting a full mag with slide closed.

That's a beauty! Could you explain what the FBI mod to the slide stop pin is? Thanks.
