Staccato XL

Does anyone know if the dimensions of the above gun's grip are identical to the 2019 Staccato P or the 2020 Staccato P? My LGS has the XL but I'm interested in the P but want to see how the P will fit in my hand.

Thx

Grips are the same if they are both Gen2

That is the newer grip with the 7 grip pattern (it looks like a bunch of 7 and inverted 7ís). This is in contrast to the fish scale pattern of the DVC or the treebark pattern that was on their previous guns that were standard checkered grips that Extreme Shooters Inc had worked over.

The ES worked over grips are going to have very similar dimensions to the newer G2 grips. Now the older checkered grip is not going to feel the same and be slightly larger. Itís also glowing to feel more blocky as the transition from the front-strap to the side panels is very harsh and angular.

STI has redesigned their grip mold to be more rounded and incorporate the usual mods people do to the original grip. That is known as the gen 2 grip.

The DVC and Staccato grips were customized gen 1 grips. I think STI is moving to put the same grip on all their 2011s going forward and get out of the grip customization business.
