New shooter

I met my wife almost 3 years ago. When we were first talking I told her I shoot guns and ride motorcycle. If they don't like that, then I move on. She said she had a pistol, a glock, did not know what model, but it was the short one.

She started shooting with me. We both shoot sporter rifle, Bullseye and Silhouettes.

Here are a couple targets from this last week shot with two hands.

50 feet, Dan Wesson Valor with SRO.

.

25 yards in a match using a buck mark with dot sight.

I make it easy for her. Guns are maintained and sighted in. I load on a dillon for me, her and my daughter. I pay match fees etc. She does enjoy it. I like the look I get when she does something like this. Lately she insists on loading here own magazines before a match. She can have any gun she wants. I just keep buying them.

The real fun begins when you teach her to ride a motorcycle. Teaching my wife to shoot was easy. The motorcycle was a whole other level. Both turned out exceptionally well for her. Now she believes she can do anything. She has beaten me in matches and I can barely keep up with her on a motorcycle.

I've seen great relationships come out of mutual participation in the shooting sports. Awesome!

Yep. We both shoot USPSA and IDPA. Lotsa fun. Lotsa handloading. She picks, sorts and tumbles. I sort by headstamp and load. She CAN clean her own guns, but I usually do it.
