Takes matter into his own hands

Not sure I would have acted but if more people did would be a lot more respect and less creeps on the street. Glad no shots were fired.

That is a brave couple willing to take the potentially dangerous steps to protect fellow citizens. I am proud of them.

What is truly scary is that some bad guys are not scared of a good guy with a gun. They will not heed the commands to stay still. Itís a great way to get shot if youíre the bad guy.

Unfortunately that is quite common. People like to think that a gun will scare anyone it's pointed at and immediately make them run or pee their pants. Unfortunately people who are angry, upset or have huge egos aren't usually impressed, and they'll try calling your bluff thinking you don't have the guts to actually shoot them. Others are simply so upset at that moment that they aren't thinking straight and don't care if you DO shoot them. Just one more reason why you should never brandish a firearm unless things have reached a point where you are most likely going to have to use it anyway.

Avoid the temptation to replace everything on your brand-new 1911 just to make it "better". Know what you're changing out and why. You may spend a lot of money fixing things that weren't broken to begin with. Shoot at least 500 rounds through it first, then decide what you don't like and want to improve. Regarding vintage 1911s, pre-1970 pistols are highly collectible in original, unaltered condition and should NEVER be refinished or modified as it completely ruins their monetary value.

agree

Unfortunately, once you shoot the bad guy, then your legal bills will suddenly rise as a result of a shooting..There is no winners in a gun fight. the police will take you in for shooting the bad guy, or they/family/bad guy sue you and take your money...

Good to see somebody stand up to a scumbag. Glad he didn’t have to shoot him as that would have resulted in untold legal and fincial headache, especially in California. If a few more bad guys got arrested or shot while committing crimes, it might make them slow down and think before doing illegal crap
