I have recently purchased close to a dozen magazines from Klonimus off ebay over the past few months for my Rock Island 1911. The floorplate of the magazine does not work with magazine well extensions. I removed mine from my RIA MS and these mags work great and they're inexpensive too.

Sorry, don't know how to rotate the pics but,

The square shoulder prevents full insertion with a flared magwell extension.

I have purchased several 8rnd magazines from him over the past few months, they work great. The only downside is if you have a flared (extended) magazine well, the shoulder of the floor plate is squared instead of at an angle and the will not fully seat. I just removed my mag well extension and they work great. I'll post a pick when I get near my PC.

Very honest supplier ; good quality and cheap prices. Iím almost afraid to ask where he gets the merchandise as the low prices suggest offshore. The parts seem reliable so far so I canít complain

I saw a 3 pack of Klonimus Magazines on eBay and ordered them to try out.
I like the way the follower looks, hope they work as well as the other Klonimus parts I have bought.

they look like Novak/ACT mags
should be fine

Hi-volume shooters and mag slammers have noted splits at rear top weld seam.
But the couple I've gotten over the years that came with a new gun all fed fine and dandy

Thumbs up

The question pops up on here from time to time (it always feels like a repost when it does... ), but they carry some good kit. I've bought a few 1911 pieces off of 'em - bushings, recoil spring plugs, a mainspring housing, some grips, mags, etc. - and as noted, their mags are nice, reasonably priced, and don't work with flared magwells.

They have a perfect rating on fleabay, and several "good" ratings from me... for what THAT'S worth.

Klonimus

I've purchased 6 or 7 pairs of their full size grips from their Ebay store. Have always been pleased with their products and fast shipping.

Just ordered a MSH/magwell combo from them on Saturday for $45 shipped. It arrived in the mail today. No problems installing it on a Ruger SR1911 full size.

Check out their Ebay store. They stock quite a few parts.

I needed a 9mm extractor, and in an experimental mood, ordered one from Klonimus. It came in today. The invoice says 9mm, but the (otherwise very professional) hard blister pack is interesting: four-color printing with their name, logo, and contact information, but no part number or description of the contents.

Normally, since a 9mm and .45 extractor are *very* similar parts, you'd expect they would prominently mark the package so whoever picks the parts gets the rights stuff.

I won't know for sure until I get out to the shop and see how it fits in a 9mm slide. The shape of the claw end is quite different from the EGW 9mm extractor I bought a few months ago; the Klonimus one is flattened on the inboard side.

The Klonimus extractor certainly *looks* nice. No visible casting lines, anyway.

edit:

The Klonimus 9mm extractor appears to be the same as a .45 extractor, except it's cut away behind the hook to allow it to swing inward more. I suspect they're just shipping the same extractor for either application, and you just bend it as necessary for proper tension on a 9mm. However, I don't have one of their .45 extractors to verify this.

It doesn't make any difference to me, particularly at the price, but if you're a purist it's not a "proper" 9mm extractor.

I also got a free lesson in extractor fitting; if I need a 9mm extractor right now and don't have one, I can just do some filing on a .45 extractor.

Klonimus MagWell extended

Wow! What a screaming deal!
I bought an S&A at $79 and the horizontal pin would not hold in the main spring.
I ordered in a Klonimus at $40 and it CAME WITH a main spring installed.
Great quality. Fast shipment. Perfect fit.
Iíll be buying more from these guys!

With the exception of their Mainspring Housing (they don't have an A-1 version yet), Klonimits is my first choice for 1911 parts. With my big thumb, I love their extended thumb safeties, the GI version does not work well for me.
They will be introducing some 9mm Magazines soon, I will order some when they do.
