Opinion on vz grips for stainless.

Looking for an opinion on what color and texture vz grips look best on a stainless full size 1911. I will be using it as a carry gun. I will be doing the slim grips.

I am considering the operator 1, operator 2, or Dimondbacks.

The colors I'm considering are predator green, black sand or MARSOC.

I'm also open to other options.

I really like the texture of the Operator II, on Stainless I tend to go with darker colors, on blued I think lighter colors look ok good, I guess the contrast is what I like...but what do YOU like is the important question

1. I would pick standard thickness grips, and I have short fingers.

2. For carry grips, I would choose either 320's or Gator Back's.

3. My material choice would be canvas micarta.

4. My color choice would Blasted Black

I'm taking the original black VZ grips off a stainless DW, and replacing them with the following:

I'm sure they will be great when they arrive.

I've been looking at the picture thread and Google. It seems that the colors are different with each photo. I like the predator green in some pictures where they seem darker but in others they seem more white or light tan.

I like the operators II in zebra, but I'm also running a black slide.

No not at all to me, seems like the way they're made is half of it is aggressive half isn't. I always wear an undershirt anyway so holster/gun not directly on skin

I think I am going to go with the operator ii. The operator I and Dimond back look like they may not be comfortable rubbing on my skin all day, with the checkering.

One thing about the operator ii, why do some of them look like they have the dot pattern on the front like the recon and others have the pattern from the gunner grips on the front? Did they change the pattern?

I agree with all the above. The blasted canvas micarta provides an excellent hold wet or dry without the very aggressive patterns. The black does have a slight green tint. If dirty they clean right up. Here is a set of the very ones on a stainless late S70 Colt with some other work.

Predator Green Operators II. They look great on my stainless Valor, although mine are not slims.

I dislike agressive grip textures so I bought the 320S grips. Regardless I think the black / gray color look best with stainless.
