When buying my Korth last year I seriously considered getting the non-colored version of this particular model because of the unique rear sight but decided to get the more traditional looking model instead.
The best shooters I have met in forty years in the sport were shooting competitively and saw guns as sports equipment, not caring for looks, nor cost of a weapon - leave alone the ammo cost!
I was reading about the new Korth .44 in GUNS magazine while I was on the throne this morning. I have no use for guns whose only purpose is a $tatu$ $ymbol. I just don't see what makes Korth worth the outrageous price. I've handled a few of their 'standard' .357 revolvers and they did not impress me with their groups. As good as these guns are touted to be , rarely will any be used very hard. Much like Pythons , most owners will rarely take them out of the safe without commenting on how much it costs. Gimme a Colt , S&W N or L-frame or Ruger GP-100 any day. And a truck-load of ammo with the change.
I think I like my Ruger Old Army better...seriously, the cloud of smoke it makes no one can tell if anyone is hitting the targets any more and it is less likely to snag on anything!
Different strokes and all but damn that thing is just.... obnoxious. Give Hellboy back his pistol before he kicks your booty.
