This thing is starting to give me the creeps.

I am beginning to wonder how many congressmen and Senators may be willing to fall on their swords over this. Hopefully not too many.

face it gentlemen, it has NOTHING to do with crime or the reduction of it. anyone that does any real research immediately sees that the reduction of guns only leads to the increase of violent crime. the politicians only want gun control so they may gain more control over the people. they have all of the statistics at their disposal and would tell the truth if their purpose was to protect the people from crime, but it obviously is not. we need to reject the crime argument as irrelevant and let the people know what their real intentions are.

Go to the GOA, NRA, Hornady, Ruger, etc. websites and use their political letter tools. Will send a letter you can edit to the group of politicians you elect to send to and you can edit the letter to say what you want. Volume of email is valuable to set the tone and let politicians know where they get their votes. Be sure to include a part at the end that your future vote and influence on various social media depends on their performance.

S. 649 is the current Gun Trafficking bill that Harry Reid is pushing. It will be the vehicle that everyone sticks their agenda into.
There is little to these bills that we might believe to be the pressing issue. The real object is money. A quick read through the current version of this bill shows it ammends a 1968 bill and ups a 10 year grant at $40 million per year. Another grants out $10 mil per year for 4 years. There is also a number of sections setting up "enpowerment for creation", one being a campus security "Center" that oversees college security...no mention of cost or how far that creation will reach past the Attourney Generals office.
Background checks are outlined and it has already slipped that the intention is registration (first step to confiscation).
Obviously a lot of other things will be packed into this bill to get the needed votes to pass. The DiFi part could be tacked on if enough momentum is bought.

Look at the text for H.R.3355 Violent Crime bill or better know as the 1994 Automatic Weapons Ban. Essentially a Bill Clinton success is being re-inacted.

Use all forms of social media available and contact politicians to let them all know what the true plans. People should be highly offended that politicians are so arrogant and smug to believe they can divide the people of the United States over something (guns) that is not a problem. Criminals are the problem, not law-abiding citizens. Yet they choose to punish law-abiding people. Obama has several times brought together crime victims using tax money to paint the agenda he needs to sell for his election debts. How dispicable does a person need to be in order to get the money they want? Biden should be locked up for the ignorant and irresponsible things he has said recently about self-defense. The obvious use of incorrect terminology (military like, high capacity, clips, etc.) are designed to divide people with fear. Mis-use of statistics (40 percent of firearm purchases come from gun shows, etc. ) are designed to divide with fear and create conpromise that appears to be action.

If you have not yet taken action mentioned above, then you wait for the outcome you can steer. Take actions, do not let this go as planned. Do not be a victim of other's action.

Why I think the AR-15 is the Target of Anti Gun Groups

I think, that its because of the ammo these guns are able to chamber. Why, well because if our government where ever to become tyrannical, they know that they would never be able to pull all of the firearms out of the hands of Americans. But they most certainly would be able to stop the supply chain for ammunition, yes, just stop the sale of ammo. As we see how the shortage of ammo have curtailed our shooting habits now, imagine how it would affect a push back on tyranny!

So the only ammunition that would or could be available would be military calibers and that is exactly what these guns shoot. So either through a underground network or through captured stores or battlefield booty, this would be the only ammo that would be available. Yeah, add in the 30 round magazine, flash suppressor, light weight and recoil, all weather durability/reliability and the ability to mount accessories and you have a reason for a driven ban on this type of weapon.

Life in America is becoming a socialist state

Hitler, Stalin, Khrushchev, etc. have made many statements that, I think, fit our current situation in America. They seem to reflect the administration's position on a lot of things. Limit freedoms, take away constitutional rights, make us dependent on on the government. It may be just a rumor, pardon me for going "hmmmm?" though, but did I read/hear somewhere that our leader wants to be a dictator so much that he tried to introduce a bill allowing presidents to serve more than 2 terms? Why not limit other elected and appointed officials as well??

Barry's favorite book is "Rules for Radicals." In fact, Hillary did her senior thesis on Alinsky. When the entered the what house, they had it sealed. I see that happen on M.S. theses and Ph.D. dissertations for a brief period when there are patents being applied for, but she has been out for decades. It was unsealed by the college in 2001.

Having to jump through all those hoops and quashing dissertations and thesis papers doesn't surprise me at all. Won't surprise me if it gets to the point that we are imprisoned or worse for exercising freedom of speech. Historically, no democracy has lasted more than 200 years. We just past the 237 year mark last week, and things are already changing. It now takes a library to hold all our laws, which are mostly prohibitive. Our grandchildren will lead very different lives than we do. We live completely different lives than when there was simply the Constitution and Bill of Rights.

Legal primer on banning

I am a new member and have not had time to read this whole thread, but I found this bookmark on my computer and though it is old, is still valid and this is the crap that they circulate! Like others have said and will continue to say--they have a blind, closed mind set/view of reality/fantasy.

http://smartgunlaws.org/wp-content/...ssault_Weapons_A_Legal_Primer_8.05_entire.pdf

Copy and past into browser if the link doesn't work. Very bad libtard stuff.

Ruger SR1911--so far so nice!
