The shape of the Nighthawk one piece mag-guide makes it difficult to do a precision fit with a set of grips. These photos show our answer to the challenge. Thank you Birdy for the photos.

I bought a set of the Challis bushings for my Springfield TRP and installed them. When I went out to fire the gun the magazines either failed to drop out at all or only partially dropped out where I could grab them and pull them out. When I checked, the bushings actually extended into the magazine well far enough to drag on the magazines.

When I got home I sent an email to Challis to see what was going on, expecting to hear back after the weekend since this was late on a Friday night. I immediately got a response from Bruce. I sent him some pictures of the problem and he offered to shorten a set of bushings for me. A couple of days later they arrived in the mail, I installed them and now everything is perfect. Thanks Bruce, this was top notch service and much appreciated.

Please check our new custom grips website that just went live today. There is a great assortment of blanks available. Each can be customized by the customer to fit the requirements of any 1911.
Let us know what you think.

The site looks great. Easy to find the material and species you're looking for. And your selection has increased by an order of magnitude.. Nice job.
