This is a 1911A1 at work, no play acting, no paper punching, no zombie training, just plain work.

I'll bet a girl that age dressed like that during that time period did more "work" in a day than three average men do today! There were also kids younger than that sent out for the day with 2-3 cartridges and were expected to drop an edible critter with every shot.

I wish I knew the background on the picture however, I do not. I liked the picture and put in this thread since she is shooting the 1911 or about to.

To me it's the 1911 that's about to go to work on whatever she has in her sights.

If you would look at the OP, you'll note that "Personal defense, competition and duty" were listed.
It's pretty clear that pictures of folks shooting their 1911's, no matter the venue, is the intent of this thread.

Yes Ray,

I didn't read the complete OP description of list of qualification for posting on this thread, but I still think of a 1911A1 as that thing hanging on my right hip in the mid sixties.

My original criteria was in hopes of getting shots of the gun riding along with soldiers, police, or anyone doing hard things.

Vintage or modern, doesn't matter. I just know that there's a lot of interest in seeing that the gun's not just a hobby piece, but that it still gets a nod for some of the hard work, even if Glock is taking over holsters like a modern rendition of Invasion of the Body Snatchers.

This may fit the criteria, carried a 1911 left side cross draw. Bad picture but you may get the idea.

A clue might be the logo on her belt buckle.

Just put back into EDC. LH IWB worn in the small of the back. Works fine for me, even sitting or driving. Thought I may just slide it into the console while driving.
