I am not on Facebook.

I am in California, so can't win anyway.

How can I donate to this cause? Everything I have read makes me want to.

PM me info please.

Can't you just buy the raffle ticket online. If you win, and you can't receive the gun since you are in CA, just donate the gun back to the family.

I don't believe you have to join Facebook to participate. Go directly to the Website.
I would encourage everyone to scratch some up, this gun is Phenominal.

Since Daves passing, and the end of the Raffle benefiting his wife, I really have not said much. I'd like to take a moment and thank ALL of the Smiths and members that offered their support.
In the interest of time, I probably excluded many that deserved an opportunity to do something, for that I apologize.
Dave was not forthcoming with the seriousness of his last visit to the oncologist, and I understand in hindsight why. His heart was in the right place. I spoke, or texted with him daily for the last couple of months he was alive, and having known him 8-10 years, it was hard to watch.
Jason and I went to Texas and spent a week with Dave, about a week before he passed.
Dave was almost immobile, but we got to have a good laugh or three, gossip, and generally make peace with the situation as I closed his shop up for him.
I promised to finish whatever projects his customers wanted us to, and to also consider continuing his MEUSOC gun.
He loved the gunsmithing community, and that's reflected in this forum.
I will for the last time, convey his, his wife's, and my gratitude.
...and specifically John Harrison and Stuart Palmer for carrying the ball for me.
Thanks
CW

I have been away for a while and this is the first I've heard of any of this. I don't know what to say. I am saddened.

I am new to 1911 forums. While reading old posts before joining, I came across a name I hadn't heard in about twenty years - Dave Berryhill. When I met Dave he was living in Redondo Beach, CA, selling his old Logan lathe and planning to move to Colorado (I think) to go to gunsmithing school. It's sad to read that Dave is gone, but nice to also read that he was the good guy he seemed to me to be and helped many people with his knowledge. He helped me too - I still use the lathe he sold me!
