Sight info on Guardian

I want to put a new front sight on my Guardian, but I do not have a caliper to measure the height of the front sight or the dovetail measurements. Can anybody provide that ? Thanks

Height may vary, the front is a Springfield cut. I will measure mine later, but again, no guarantee that it will be correct for yours.

Bill

Edit: Had to measure 5 or 6 times to make sure these old eyes got it right and that I was holding the calipers straight. From the top of the flat base of the the front sight to the top is .140 on mine. Maybe Dave S. or KeithDW can let us know if that may vary from gun to gun or not. I would still have that one measured to be sure anyway.

Hope this helps
Bill

My .45 Guardian came with a .140" front sight. I just replaced it with a .180". The taller sight works better for my point of aim.

Exactly what I am getting ready to do. Going to send the slide in this week.
