Sr 1911 CMD

Hello everyone been a while since I've been on here, I recently added an sr1911 cmd my 1911 collection and I have a question when I take the slide off the frame there is quite a bit of playing the hammer in the most forward position more than any other 1911 I have is this normal has anybody noticed this, this is not a problem on the slide is assembled to the frame

Some 1911’s display that. Hammer strut a wee bit short or yhe mainspring cap is a little thick.
