At the range

Friday was qualification for the department
We get to use the local FBI range, I must say it is an incredible facility. Later we will get to train with both FATS and Simunition.
Anyway!!!
I used my Colt XSE Guvm't model as my duty weapon and my XS officers as my off duty weapon. Function was flawless. I did have a better score with the officers model but I was not having a "good" day.
Anyway I had fun, I qualified without difficulty and my guns hummed along just fine

Mark,

Nice looking pistols. Are they two-tone from the factory, or did you get them done that way yourself? Hard to tell from pictures, but are they blue/stainless or some other finish?

Both pistols are stainless
The Guvm't is an XSE model and the officers is an XS model
I sent them to Virgil Tripp and had the frames done hard chrome and the slides done in his "Cobra Coat" The Cobra Coat is a very nice and smooth Moly type of coating. It is holding up well after several dozen draws from the holster.

Mark,

Thanks for the reply. I have a blued 1991A1 with almost all the modifications I want done. The only things left that I need to do are the sights and refinish. I'm constantly researching different finishes, although I'm currently leaning toward parkerizing for this gun.
