I no longer own a majority of these rifles, but still have the 11.5" BCM, 14.5" Colt and 9" 300blk.

Just completed this 22lr build which was prompted by the many parts on sale during the holidays. (It probably would have been considerably cheaper to buy a S&W outright but then I would have missed out on all the angst of waiting for the big brown truck to arrive.)

I have a new FN M16A2 upper awaiting the lower to be completed to make a replica gun, but in the mean time these two Carbines really make me happy:

1) For mud duty, an S&W Magpul Spec Mid. Somehow it lost all that rickety magpul furniture and got some customized, sturdier stuff instead.

2) For nights by the fire, a pre-ban Colt lightweight carbine, slabside, with the CS solid stock. This is one VERY handy carbine. I'm going to built a flat-top 14.5" replica later in 2014.

My three and I also have a spare Spikes complete lower in the safe for a rainy day.

From top to bottom.

Palmetto State Armory 16" premium upper on a USM4 lower with Magpul furniture, Midwest Industries Gen 2 two piece free float handguard, Geiselle SSA trigger group, and Leupold Mark AR Mod 1 3x9x40 mildot scope. I had to get the Midwest rail cerekoted OD green. The OD green that Midwest Industries lists/sells is more like foliage green or tactical gray, and it does not match Magpul OD green at all.

BCM 16" carbine upper on Noveske N4 lower with Magpul furniture and a Troy Delta free float handguard.

Colt LE6920 with Magpul furniture, Troy VTAC Delta free float handguard, and an Aimpoint PRO.
