I shoot Bullseye. Girlfriend just started last year shooting with me. I bought her a Browning Buckmark and put a Dot sight on it. She caught on pretty quick. Last fall I was shooting a 4 gun match. She watched because all she shoots is rimfire.
During the match, she noticed some folks using 2 hands. Later she asked if it was alowed. The range master said If you are over 60.

Now she shoots in the 220-240 range with both hands rimfire.

We went to an outdoors match this sunday. Her first one and first time at 50 yards for slow fire. That morning she said "do you have a centerfire I can use?" I said sure, my 9mm Springfield RO Champion. It has a Burris FF 3 dot sight and was sighted in for 50 yards.

This was her first slow fire target centerfire ever.

I may be buying another LW 9mm for me.

David

Just some general screwing around with my stainless SA .45 loaded.

48 rounds, 10 yards, average just under 1 shot per second. Got a little tired and sloppy towards the end.

Monadh,

What were you doing here? What type of drill? What distance?

This is what I call “can I get my eyes to work long enough to hit anything” drill, and it was done at 12+ yards off hand at a pace of roughly 1 shot per second, give or take. I also had a bit of the shakes from not having eaten before I went.

Getting old sucks.

I think the old school used the term "groups" as opposed to "groupings". I cringe when I read the title of this post. "groupings" just rubs me the wrong.

The target is from my South Dakota "Enhanced" carry permit qualification in Oct. It was shot with a combination of my Glock 43 and STI DVC Steel, standing at 5,7, 10, and 15 yrds; single hand strong and weak side, 2 handed strong and weak side. If I recall correctly, it consisted of 98 rds. My aging eyes have relegated me to Red Dots on all my handguns.

Rainy day in NORCAL today. Took the SA loaded .45 to the range. This is 8 shots at 10 yards. About 0.5 second splits. Red center is 1.7" across. 230 grain Blazer brass cheap ammo.
